Frankenstein Slot Review

Frankenstein is a 5-reel, 3-row slot powered by Net Entertainment (Netent) software developer in partnership with Universal Studios. As you can gather by the name the video slot is inspired by the classic horror story of Dr. Frankenstein and his monster. It offers plenty of ways to win across the 20 paylines, with a very innovative Linked Wilds feature and free spins with a multiplier. Frankenstein Theme and Gameplay

Frankenstein can be played on up to 20 paylines. You can select the number of coins wagered per line – from 1 to 10 and the coin denomination – from 0.01 to 0.50. Netent is dedicated to offering their games on all devices and Frankenstein slot is no exception. The game is available on Windows, MAC and even Linux. If you prefer to play on the go, it is part of Netent Touch, so you can play on your Android or iOS device.

Frankenstein ‘s whole theme is dark and creepy, giving justice to the gothic novel and the movies. The soundtrack fits well and adds more suspense to the game.  The design is stunning, despite the dreary theme and the 3d graphics are a nice touch.

You will see the card symbols from 9 to Ace among the standard symbols, a jar with a brain and the main characters – Fritz, Dr. Frankenstein himself, and The Monster, of course, who awards the biggest win during regular play – 1500 coins. Frankenstein Slot has a return to player percentage (RTR) of 96.7%.

Frankenstein Symbols and Features

Frankenstein has two different kinds of Wild Symbols – the Lightning Wild and the Fire Wild. The lightning Wild appears on reels 2, 3 and 4 in the main game. They link with regular symbols nearby with an electric current animation and transform them into wilds as well. Lightning Wild substitutes for all symbols except the Scatter. The Fire Wilds work as linked Wilds too, but they appear in the free spins game only. Each free spin you get is boosted by a Fire Wild on reels 2, 3 or 4. Fire Wild replaces all symbols except the Scatter and the Multiplier.

The Scatter is the windmill symbol and if you get 2 of them, you’ll receive 5 free spins, while 3 or more give you 10 extra free spins. In addition to that, there is a Multiplier symbol, which appears only on reel  5, and increases the win multiplier by 1 each time (up to a maximum of 5x).

Our Verdict

Frankenstein is not among the best paying games by Netent like Blood Suckers or  Böb, but it still offers plenty of ways to win. The free spins feature is truly generous with the multiplier and linked Fire Wilds boosting your chances of a big win even further. The dark and sinister theme might not fit everyone’s tastes, but in a world full of bright and cheerful slots, Frankenstein is different and fun in its own creepy way.
