Ratchet & Clank

“Ratchet & Clank” was originally released in 2002, by Insomniac Games and Sony
Computer Entertainment, for the PlayStation 2. The latest, updated version of “Ratchet & Clank” was released in April 2016, for the PlayStation 4. The game is a third-person shooter featuring a cat- like humanoid and a small robot. The 2016 version is a re-imagining of the 2002 original, along with a major CG-animated motion picture. Its storyline is to help the multi-game duo, Ratchet and Clank, along with their friends, as they try to defend the Solana Galaxy from the evil Chairman Drek. Having also been made into a motion picture, the 2016 game features footage from it, which fans can look for while they are enjoying the play.

Traveling to several alien planets with inventive weapons and a quirky attitude, “Ratchet
& Clank” enjoy blowing up everything in sight. Their weapons include items such as the Pixelizer whichblasts their enemies into 8-bit colored squares, the bomb glove which helps in the tossing of grenades, and even the Groovitron which distracts enemies by sending them into a dancing frenzy. The game also allows for equipment upgrades and modifications.

The newest version won the 2016 Golden Mine cart Award for Best Remake and for Best
Family Friendly Game which is ironic to fan-following gamers. In the past, the crude humor of the two characters was part of what made the two famous. With past titles like “Up your Arsenals” and worse parents had to patrol which of the cartoon Mario Bros. competitor was appropriate for younger gamers. It was also nominated for 2016 action-adventure game of the year. Fortunately, there introduction of the classic “Ratchet & Clank” for the next generation of gamers is fun-entertaining and endearing.
